The Healthcare Solutions group was established 18 months ago.

Microsoft have recently acquired a novel Healthcare software system from a leading hospital in Washington, which offers physicians a new and improved way of accessing all clinical and financial data from the entire Healthcare environment. The new system is already being recognised as hugely beneficial and of value within a number of leading hospitals in the US. Microsoft is now looking to build a team to further develop and bring this unique product to Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

The new team’s mission will be to incubate the business in EMEA, identifying, creating and developing a customer base from which Microsoft can grow, resulting in the development of a profitable vertical business unit.

Your key role in the new business will be to take responsibility for promoting and selling the Azyxxi platform in Northern Europe – Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Belgium.

In your first year you will be tasked with identifying, promoting and selling the Azyxxi platform / product into Microsoft’s key incubation sites. Within your first year you will be part of the initial Azyxxi EMEA team (x7) and an EMEA sales team (x4) with a shared revenue target, although each member of the sales team will have an individual target in year two.

Whilst the role requires an experienced sales professional, familiar with selling Healthcare business solutions and applications, it is also critical that you have the ability to work as part of a core team, sharing information and success with others.

Essential Job Functions

  • Develop and manage the Health Solutions Group pipeline.
  • Own the sale of Azyxxi applications to Hospital and Hospital Groups.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the medical community in each country, positioning HSG with the key influencers.
  • Formulate and execute a joint plan with the Public Sector Health teams in each country to target the top health institutions.
  • Prioritise the countries on opportunity and market potential
  • Orchestrate HSG's relationship with the clinical standards bodies.
  • Working with the EMEA and WW Health Solutions Group to share best practices.
  • Orchestrate HSG's presence at key medical conferences, where possible secure presenting opportunities.
  • Liaise with the WW HSG PR and Marketing team to maximize the coverage in the Healthcare markets.

Professional Experience

Experienced sales person with proven experience selling to Healthcare enterprise customers within a single country (Northern European) or ideally across Western Europe.

Specific technical and functional knowledge

  • Senior sales executive with deep industry knowledge.
  • Solid understanding of a wide range of solution and partner offerings, as well as the trends within the IT industry.
  • Ability to call on senior business executives in major health organisations and a proven track record in successfully managing and closing complex sales in large enterprise accounts.
  • Take a lead and be on the forefront of Microsoft's evolution from a recognised leader in the desktop computing to a solutions oriented company that delivers business value.
  • The position will own the orchestration across several strategic and major accounts integrating an overlay team which can include Partner Managers, Account Managers, Industry Managers, Services and Technical Specialists; accordingly the ability to work effectively in a team setting and manage multiple large opportunities is critical.
  • This is a software sales based income position and the individual will be targeted on the attainment of revenue across their assigned accounts.
    Demonstrated work experience with technical understanding of computer software technology and effective presentation skills; strong project management and account development skills.
